Life has so much to offer and I don't even know where to begin when it comes to describing my interests. My family and I are very much involved with civil war reinactments. The largest civil war muster east of the Mississippi takes place in Jackson Michigan every Summer. If you love American history, I highly recommend that you make it a part of your summer activities. It usually takes place in August, and if you would like more information you can contact Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce, Jackson, MI . Its great fun for the entire family and educational too!

Antiques are special passion of mine. Ever since I was a teen I was priviledged, to live in a family that appreciated antiques and the history that is behind them. My stepfather was an avid collector of antique cars. Among his prized possessions were a 1941 Packard Sedan, A georgeous Packard roadster convertible from the '30's and a 1914 Custom built Cadillac which belonged to Michigan automobile executive CJ Moore. My favorite piece in my parent's collection, was an English polyphon( large music box) that played an assortment of large 18" discs. One treasure that gives me great enjoyment in my present collection is a 1906 Edison phonograph.

Carousel horses and Menagerie figures are another favorite. These masterpieces of a bygone era are now very scarce and are worth thousands, if you can even find one. My favorite carvers are Dentzel and Illions. The Philadelphia Toboggan Company also made some beautiful carousels. If you appreciate carousels and would like to know more I highly recommend reading "The Pictoral History of the Carousel" by Frederick Fried

Since I care deeply about the welfare of animals, I am an ardent antivivisectionist . I feel that our humanity toward our fellow man begins with kindness to "lesser" creatures. Some excellent books that have been written on animal rights and antivivisection are:

Naked Empress - Hans Reusch

Slaughter of the Innocent - Hans Reusch

Animal Rights-Peter Sanger

If you would like to know more about the use of animals in laboratory research you might want to visit The National Antivivisection Society

My thoughts on kindness

Next to art, my greatest passion is learning. I enjoy reading about world history, religions, medicine, and psychology. I love great literature too, especially Steinbeck, Buck, and London. Among English authors Kipling and Dickens are my favorites. The following literary masterpieces are dear to my heart, and I have read them many times:

The Good Earth-Buck

Of Mice and Men-Steinbeck

Frankenstein-Shelly

The Call of the Wild-London

Black Beauty-Sewell

The Phantom of the Opera-Leroux

Oliver Twist-Dickens

Of course I love a good movie too. My favorite actors are:

James Mason

Charleton Heston

Paul Newman(My georgeous brother looks just like him!:)

Harrison Ford

Comedy is good for the soul and the body , so I also spend time now and then watching the :

Marx Brothers

Abbott and Costello

The Three Stooges

Victor Borge

Laurel and Hardy

Bill Cosby

Robin Williams

In my opinion, these men are extremely talented and its sad that most comedy nowadays cannot even begin to meet up to the standards set by these great individuals

The Animaniacs is a surprisingly sophisticated cartoon produced by Stephen Spielberg. It is uproariously funny with zany humor similar to that of the Marx Brothers.
